Renaissance Downtowns LLC, the branded leader in comprehensive, authentic downtown revitalization, is dedicated to the holistic redevelopment of our nation’s suburban downtowns, or as Renaissance calls them “Boutique Cities.” Renaissance meets the needs of a growing market for urban product, including walkable suburban downtowns (“Urban Suburbia”) by creating downtown environments utilizing a triple bottom line approach to development – social, economic and environmental responsibility. Renaissance has experienced tremendous success over recent years, including designation as Master Developer in six northeast municipalities with an aggregate build out value in excess of $8 Billion, along with a pipeline of 10,000 plus residential units. Renaissance’s Unified Development Approach™ (UDA) ensures that downtown revitalization projects are envisioned with implementation in mind from the start by bringing all stakeholders to the table during the planning and entitlement process – the municipality, private property owners, transit agencies, potential vertical developers and local residents. The Company also employs industry leading methodologies to involve and engage with the communities in which it works. Included in these efforts is the nation’s first Crowdsourced Placemaking program. This inclusive approach combines crowdsourcing methodologies with grass roots-social media campaign strategies, which in turn provide the development team with exceptional market insight while building tremendous local support for redevelopment efforts. The Company’s Bristol Rising effort has become a national model for community engagement, highlighted by nearly 2,000 active participants on the Bristol Rising social media portal,www.bristolrising.com. The viral nature of Bristol Rising was instrumental in building public support for the project, leading to a 7-0 bipartisan vote approving Renaissance’s $1.5 Billion redevelopment plan for the downtown.
